Adult Education Survey Results

Hello my friends in Christ,

Thank you all who turned in the Adult Education Survey. Below is a summary of the results.

• The Advent Study is very popular. We will continue with that Soup Supper tradition the four Wednesday evenings in December.
• There is a strong interest in having an adult class between the services. One issue was raised, that it would be impossible for the choir to attend. As long as choir rehearses before the second service, I do not see a solution. I welcome any suggestions. If you have an idea, please let me know.
• There is a strong interest in an adult Bible Study on Wednesday evenings. Beginning in the fall we will roll out a “Bring your own dinner” Bible Study. If you are willing to help lead this class, please let me know.
• There will be an Inquirers/Newcomers/Confirmation class in August and the first two weeks of September, between the services on Sunday.
• The topics for study are listed in order of preference below:
  • Bible books – 19
  • Spirituality/Prayer Practice – 16
  • Bible themes – 14
  • Church History – 14
  • Theology – 14
  • Social Issues/Ethics – 12
  • Episcopal Liturgy – 8
  • Church Music – 6
  • Art and Religion – 5
• We will move between these subjects on Sundays between the services. I’ll greatly appreciate anyone who wants to help instruct these classes. Please let me know who you are and what you enjoy teaching.
