~Brotherhood of Saint Andrew~

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew, whose mission is "the spread of Christ's Kingdom among Men and Boys," is a men’s ministry named for Saint Andrew who, according to John's Gospel, after meeting Jesus, went to find his brother Simon, and said to him, "We have found the Messiah." Then he took Simon to Jesus.
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew has been a ministry to men for over 125 years.
By emulating the act of Andrew, the first Brothers of Andrew reached out to men in rooming houses, providing Bibles and inviting them to come to church for worship, to hear the Holy Scriptures and accept Jesus into their lives. They brought men to be baptized and these men were later confirmed in the church. Brothers Andrew were evangelizing men and leading them into Christ’s Kingdom. The Brotherhood grew, and became an international ministry.
There is no limit to our ministry to men as long as the mission purpose is to be willing to share our faith with other men, and that we have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
God's mission for the Brotherhood of St. Andrew – is to bring others, especially men and boys, nearer to Christ through his Church.
The Brotherhood at Christ the King Episcopal Church meets every 2nd Saturday at the church from 8:30 to 9:30 am. Any and all men and boys are welcome to fellowship and study. Membership in the Brotherhood or the Church is not required. The Brotherhood sponsors the Bean Bag Golf Tournament and provides support to the Youth Group and to the youth for Camp Allen, the beautiful retreat facility of the Diocese of Texas, located in the piney woods just an hour and a half from Christ the King.
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is a missionary and evangelism ministry of the Episcopal Church and Anglican Communion. The Brotherhood, in continuous service for over 120 years, is the oldest evangelistic ministry of the Episcopal Church.
